Job Description

The Role: Bookkeeper: This is a comprehensive accounting role. You will be responsible for both the day-to-day transaction processing and the high-level reporting that keeps our business and our owners' properties running smoothly. You will work closely with the Operations Manager and the Owners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable & Vendors: Issue POs, process vendor payments, and receive fabric shipments into our ERP system (creating labels/tracking).
  • Accounts Receivable: Process credit card orders, invoice term orders, and manage bank deposits.
  • Reconciliations: Perform daily bank balance checks and monthly bank statement reconciliations to ensure 100% accuracy.
  • Payroll & Commissions: Prepare weekly employee paychecks and generate accurate monthly commission reports for our sales representatives.
  • Property Management Support: Manage rent collection and basic accounting for the owners' separate real estate properties and tenants.
  • Inventory & Returns: Process customer returns, issue credits, and ensure system data matches physical inventory movements.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Accounting Expertise: 5+ years of experience in full-charge bookkeeping, preferably in wholesale or distribution.
  • Technical Proficiency: High level of comfort with QuickBooks systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • The "Sharp" Factor: We need someone with a keen eye for detail who catches errors before they happen.
  • English Fluency: Excellent written and verbal English is required.
  • Integrity: As you will handle bank balances and payroll, a background check and high-level professional references are required.
